Level 2 charger installations

These chargers can typically charge a depleted EV battery in 3 to 8 hours. Chargers vary by size, charging speed, portability and dual-port capability.

All level 2 charger installations in Ontario are required to be done by a Licensed Electrical Contractor.

Power: 208-240 Volts / 20-100 Amps

Higher power chargers (more Amps) are more expensive than less powerful ones. Level 2 chargers are more powerful than level 1 (cordsets).

Cost: $4,000-$16,000

This covers the cost of the charger and installation. If you've already purchased the charger, we can install it for a prorated rate. Prices vary based on (click on each to learn more):
  • Indoor vs. Outdoor
  • Power sharing stations
  • Number of circuits/chargers required
  • Complexity of job

Commercial Installations Available

We do installations for residents of condo units as well as multi-charging and multi-user EV car chargers in commercial environments.

Level 1 charger installations

Electric vehicles can be plugged into standard outlets using the cordset charger accompanying the vehicle. Cordsets can be plugged into a normal 3-pronged outlet but it should be on a dedicated electrical circuit not shared with other devices.

Level 1 charging is relatively slow, taking anywhere from 5 to 20 hours to fully charge a depleted EV battery (EVs with larger batteries like the Tesla Model S require more time to charge).

Power: 120 Volts / 15-20 Amps

If a dedicated, 3-prong outlet is already available, you can simply plug-in a cordset and start charging your vehicle. If there is no outlet, we can help you install a dedicated circuit and outlet.

Cost: $300 to $2,500

Costs vary depending on the need for a dedicated ciruit and/or outlet, the distance between the electrical room and the charger, or if the home's electrical system requires upgrading.
